      MATRIX Holdings, LLC was started in 1999 by Patrick T. Gates.  Following graduation from Michigan State University, Patrick worked with his father Todd M. Gates, PhD.  at T.M. Gates, Inc., an environmental consulting firm located in suburban Cincinnati, Ohio.  Todd retired in 2000 and Patrick has been successfully operating T.M. Gates, Inc. since then.

MATRIX qualifies potential partners on a case by case basis.  Investments are exclusively offered to institutions or sophisticated high net worth individuals, and are not open to the public.

MATRIX believes in establishing long term relationships with it's partners.

Recognizing that every partner has different investment objectives and risk tolerance, MATRIX will search for the ideal partner specific deal before progressing to the next step.

Since MATRIX is a smaller firm, they can react quickly to opportunities and have lower overhead cost which provides maximum return for partners.
      From 1999-2006, MATRIX was involved in several small real estate transactions, but starting in late 2006, they started aggressively investing in larger commercial properties.  Recently, the size and quantity of potential investments makes it necessary to partner with institutions and individuals in order to help fund acquisitions.  However, MATRIX only builds relationships with a select group of investors, and operates under the criteria listed below:
